SPEAKER: Welcome back to Week in Advance, my name is Aronn from WSU Global Connections. Let’s take a look at all the student involvement opportunities coming our way for the week of February 4th through the 10th.
This week’s spotlight is happening on Friday February 9th at 4pm, join the WSU Global Campus LGBTQ+ Club as we learn some history.
In this event, hear from Josie Cohen-Rodriguez as she shares her research into a broad range of LGBTQ+ histories.
From sexuality and gender issues to ongoing challenges faced by the communities, this event will surely teach you something new.
Then be sure to check out all the other events happening this week.
Like on Monday at 5pm, celebrate Chinese New Year with a Mahjong Game Night.
Then on Tuesday at 3:30pm, learn to advocate for yourself and your accommodations, with the folks from the Access Center.
Also on Tuesday at 5pm, grab your drink of choice and join us for a relaxing night of painting and socializing at Paint & Sip.
Finally, on Thursday at 4pm, discuss society, oppression, and social identities at the Power & Privilege workshop.
