Clubs and Groups

Global Campus students can join a wide range of organizations, groups, and clubs—or even create one of their own. These student-led communities host regular virtual meetings and events, giving you the chance to connect with fellow Cougs, pursue personal interests, and build meaningful networks. Along the way, you’ll enhance your résumé, prepare for academic success, and engage in fun opportunities, as many clubs host contests and award prizes to active participants.

How Global Campus Clubs Work

  • All Online, All Year: Groups host virtual meetings and events (weekly, monthly, or as scheduled).
  • Community and Career: Network with peers, pursue interests, and build skills that boost academic and professional success.
  • Earn Graduation Cords and Skill Badges: Showcase your involvement with cords at commencement and add verified skill badges to your résumé or LinkedIn profile.

Graduation Cords

By participating in Global Campus student organizations and clubs and attending the required number of meetings or events, you will qualify for a graduation cord to wear with your regalia at commencement.

Cords and non-credit skill-building certificates (which come with digital badges that you can showcase on your résumé or LinkedIn profile) are now tracked automatically through the Global Campus Involve platform.

Please note: To earn the Principles of ALOHA braided ribbon or any of the Cougar Leadership, Wellness Online, or Crimson Compass cords, you must complete the full program associated with each.

Some student clubs and organizations at other WSU campuses welcome Global Campus students—virtually or in person if you’re nearby. Explore opportunities by visiting their pages:
