Week in Advance 11.05.2023 Transcript

SPEAKER: Welcome back to Week in Advance, my name is Aronn from WSU Global Connections. Let’s take a look at all the student involvement opportunities coming our way for the week of November 5th through the 11th.

This week’s spotlight is a Global Connections Daily Double, sort of, join us for a double feature of virtual Jeopardy game nights on Zoom.

Starting on Tuesday November 7th at 5pm Pacific, Global Campus’ Wellbeing Online has created a themed Jeopardy game featuring questions on mental health awareness.

Then on Thursday November 9th, also at 5pm, the Global Campus student government is honoring veterans with their version of virtual Jeopardy, featuring questions on the United States Armed Forces.

We want to welcome all Cougs and Coug family members, military and civilian alike, to join us for these two fun game nights.

Then be sure to check out all the other events happening this week.

Like on Monday at 1pm, connect with other online Cougs at Cougs Chat.

Also on Monday at 3pm, listen to a presentation by Dr. Zoe Higheagle Strong addressing WSU’s Land Grant History and the Appropriation of Native Lands.

Then on Tuesday November 7th at noon, Sarah Hunt will be speaking about conservative approaches to clean energy policy as part of the Foley Climate Series.

Finally, on Wednesday at 6pm Pacific, ASWSUG is hosting Cougs Get Lit-erary – our take on an online Book Club open to all WSU students.

You can sign up for all of these events at the website, connections.wsu.edu.

And that’s going to do it for Week in Advance, my name is Aronn and I will see you at our next event.
