Global Connections gives WSU Global Campus students the chance to go beyond the classroom and experience the full Cougar community—wherever they are in the world. Founded in 2012, Global Connections was created to provide extracurricular opportunities that help online learners build community, broaden their perspectives, and diversify their educational journey.

Global Connections delivers just that through events that bring online Cougs together for learning, networking, and fun.

Programs and Opportunities

From career development workshops and wellbeing seminars to DIY projects and virtual 5Ks, Global Connections offers something for everyone. Many activities and clubs are designed and led by student leaders, each of whom plays an active role in creating programs, hosting events, and fostering connections across the Global Campus community.

Global Connections works one-on-one with students to provide platforms for presenting research and academic work, opening doors to prestigious scholarships and awards, regardless of physical location. Students can also compete alongside peers from other WSU campuses in events like the Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Global Case Competitions.

How It Works

Using interactive livestream tools, Global Campus students are able to experience live events with the option to chat with guest presenters and other attendees.
