Online Fiction Book Club: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

April 26, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Water for Elephants Book CoverRun away to the circus of 1932 by reading Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen with fellow Global Campus students. Join Global Connections program coordinator— and book enthusiast— Kaitlin Hennessy to discuss this novel during the Online Fiction Book Club.  The Washington Post promises that “You’ll get lost in the tatty glamour of Gruen’s meticulously researched world, from spangled equestrian pageantry and the sleazy side show to an ill-fated night at a Chicago speak-easy.”

The first 15 WSU Global Campus students who sign up for the online book club will be mailed a free copy of Water for Elephants!

Book club gatherings will be held in the online BlackBoard Collaborate Ultra room on:

  • April 9 at 7 p.m., Chapters 1-12
  • April 26 at 7 p.m., Entire Book

Kaitlin will bring book topics to chat about as well as share interesting Water for Elephants-related news, articles, and information. Feel free to bring anything you’d like to talk about, or just show up for casual conversation. Students have the option to discuss the book via chat or microphone during meetings.

Sign up for the book club using the below form.
