Mindfulness Yoga Night – ASWSUG Healthy Mindset Events

Join Registered Yoga Teacher Joanne Greene for mindfulness based yoga, where we will introduce how to incorporate mindfulness and yoga practices into your everyday life for more energy, ability to manage stress and greater enjoyment of our days. Mindfulness is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. Yoga essentially means “that which brings you to reality” (isha.sadhguru.org) and is a discipline which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. We will offer an inclusive and accessible practice for all bodies including those new to and experienced in either yoga or mindfulness practices. Please wear comfortable clothes to move in. You are welcome to practice from a mat/towel or a chair. You may wish to have a large towel for a bolster and if you have blocks you are welcome to use those, although they are not required.
