Esports
What is Esports?
Cougs don’t just watch the game; we play to win. Since 2020, Global Campus Esports has been connecting online students from across the globe through competitive gaming. Esports is gaming at the next level, where students face off in some of the biggest titles on major platforms.
In 2022, we launched our first varsity Global Campus team, proudly representing WSU in national collegiate competitions. Just one year later, our Rocket League squad captured a conference title with the Electronic Gaming Federation, proving that online Cougs can compete and win on the biggest stages.
This is more than gaming. This is Cougar pride, powered by Global Campus.
Our Foundation
Global Campus Esports is more than just gaming; it’s Cougar pride in action. We are built on four principles that fuel everything we do:
- Connection: Our online Cougs all make up one community, no matter the distance.
- Competition: We play at the varsity level with characteristic Cougar grit.
- Inclusion: Everyone is welcome because gaming is for all.
- Teamwork: Every Coug counts; every role matters.
Minecraft Server
Minecraft Mondays: Twice a month the Cougs gather in Minecraft for creativity, fun, and community. Join us at 5:00 p.m. PT on the first and third Mondays of each month.
Minecraft Access: Fill out the verification form to be added to the server list and start building with the community.
