Student Ambassadors and Club Leaders
Student ambassadors and club leaders are Global Campus students who play active roles in shaping the online WSU experience. They design and host events, foster connections, and create opportunities for classmates to engage beyond the classroom.
Through these roles, student leaders gain valuable skills in leadership, communication, and teamwork that enrich their academic journeys and prepare them for future careers. At the same time, their efforts ensure online learners feel supported, connected, and proud to be part of WSU—no matter where they are in the world.

Outside of work and school, you can usually find me walking the rocky PNW beaches with my yellow lab, Luna, practicing yoga, or getting lost in a good book. I also have an deep love and mild obsession for dinosaurs, so if you ever want to talk about rockets or prehistoric creatures, I am always happy to share the excitement!
Please feel free to reach out anytime. I’m eager to hear your perspectives, collaborate, and shape this club around the business interests and goals of our members. Go Cougs!!

Karizmah King
WSU Global Study
Global Pre-Health Coug
My name is Karizmah King, and I’m excited to be a student ambassador for this school. I’m from Portland, but I live in Vancouver, Washington, where I’m majoring in psychology here at WSU. My education is important to me, and I plan to continue in a graduate program to achieve my career goals.
I took over the Pre-Health Club, intending to create a community of students interested in becoming healthcare or mental health providers. I also offer to find students for shadowing or volunteer opportunities in their area, tailored to their interests and goals.
The newest club I am running is a Study Group Club. It will be a space for students to collaborate on their studies in preparation for upcoming assignments. There will also be events held for students to recommend certain courses or professors based on their experiences.
I value creating communities, especially when we are all going through the challenges of school. If there is any way I can help you feel more connected with our school, please reach out to me.
In my free time, I value spending time with my family, especially my brothers and nephews.
Katie Jones
WSU Global Psychology Club President
Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a psychology major with a minor in human development, and I’m passionate about understanding people: how we grow, connect, and thrive. I serve as the president of the WSU Global Psychology Club and am also involved with Cougs Get Lit-erary, a WSU Global Campus group for booklovers!
Outside of school, I live in Camas, Washington, with my husband, three kids, pets, and sometimes even foster kittens, which means my house is often full of chaos and cuteness (sometimes at the same time). I believe in building community, uplifting others, and making space for meaningful conversations, whether we’re talking mental health, favorite reads, or anything in between!
Michael Egan
WSU Global Pre-Law Society
WSU Global Psychology Club Vice-President
Hi, I’m Michael Egan!
I’m a Senior and a psychology major at WSU Global Campus. I live in Orofino, Idaho, with my two-year-old son, Nicholas, and our two dogs. I work as a correctional officer for the State of Idaho, where I’ve seen firsthand how the legal and correctional systems shape people’s lives. That experience inspired me to pursue a career in law specifically as a criminal defense attorney.
After graduating in Spring 2026, I plan to attend law school to focus on criminal defense. Alongside my coursework, I’m conducting a research project examining the relationship between white noise and cognitive functioning in adults with ADHD.
I serve as Vice President of the Psychology Club and a leader of the Pre-Law Society at WSU, where I work to create supportive, engaging spaces for online students to connect, learn, and prepare for graduate or law school.
As a single dad, free time is limited, but I enjoy camping, shooting, watching Cougar sports, and playing EA Sports College Football. I’m also a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and still believe every year is our year!
If you have any questions about either club, please feel free to email me.
Moana Acosta
ASWSUG Cougs Get Lit-erary
WSU Global VMAS Club
Hey, Global Cougs! I’m Moana, your ASWSU Global Director of Outreach, and I’m thrilled to also serve as a club leader this year.
As part of my role as ASWSU Global Director of Outreach, I lead ASWSUG’s Cougs Get Lit-erary, a book club where we can connect over great stories and engage in genuine discussions. I’m also excited to lead the WSU Global VMAS (Veterans and Military-Affiliated Students) Club as a military spouse currently stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
When I log offline, I spend time with my family at football practices and games, read Wattpad and Kindle stories, or volunteer my time at JBLM.
I look forward to seeing you at a future event or meeting. Let’s have a great year! Go Cougs!
Shawn Kastner
WSU Global LGBTQ+ Club
I live in Bothell, Washington, with my husband and our two dogs, Tilly and Braxton. I’ve been a hairdresser for nearly 20 years and have always enjoyed the connections with my clients. My husband is a social worker, and it was through his work with foster kids I became inspired to pursue a degree in psychology.
I graduated with my AA from Everett Community College in the summer of 2024, and I’m on track to complete my BS in 2026. My goal is to work with LGBTQ+ youth and their families as a mental health professional and help build relationships through meaningful work.
I enjoy traveling with my husband, spending time with our friends and family, and practicing my newfound love of motorcycle riding.

Trinity Kimmel
Hi, Cougs! I’m Trinity, and I’m currently studying early childhood education with a minor in environmental science.
I was born and raised in Michigan, but I now call Tacoma, Washington, home. I’m passionate about creating safe, inclusive environments—whether in a classroom, out learning about nature, or within our WSU community. I became a student ambassador to help build stronger connections and support systems across our Global Campus. If you have ideas for events, resources, or ways to make our community feel more connected, I’m always happy to chat!
Outside of class, you’ll usually find me hiking, paddleboarding, or documenting my adventures while road-tripping around the Pacific Northwest to chase any type of exploring that sparks curiosity.
I believe in the power of community, the importance of access and equity, and the magic that happens when people feel like they truly belong—both in academics and beyond.
Fun fact: I bring my hammock everywhere I go, so I’m always ready to relax wherever I am.
