DESCRIPTION:Elevating the voices of military affiliated students as they look to the future is the goal of Washington State University’s fourth annual Veterans and Military-Affiliated Students (VMAS) Symposium next week. \nThe symposium will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday\, Nov. 9\, in WSU Vancouver’s Firstenburg Student Commons. The event\, which is also open for virtual attendance via Zoom\, will bring together vets and military-affiliated students from all campuses within the WSU system. \nThe theme for this year’s symposium is “The Way Forward\,” and will focus on how military-affiliated students can move in a positive direction both personally and professionally. Speakers include Zeke Crozier\, a U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient dedicated to serving the veteran community\, and Melissa Boatwright\, an Air Force veteran\, entrepreneur\, and motivational speaker. \nThe event schedule also includes a roundtable workshop\, time to interact with employers interested in hiring veterans\, an open discussion session\, and an update on new developments within WSU’s VMAS community. \nYou can register online to attend WSU’s VMAS Symposium in-person or virtually.

Keep in mind your background\, your dress\, and your participation. This is an opportunity to elevate your professionalism in a virtual world. He is greeted by his former partner Jacob Marley’s ghost on Christmas seven years after his death. Jacob tells Scrooge that he has one chance to avoid the same fate. With that\, he will be visited by three spirits and must listen to them all. There are three spirits; the Ghost of Christmas Past\, Present\, and Future in the forms of Ebenezer Scrooge that are brought to remind Scrooge of the life he lived and could live. DESCRIPTION:“Everybody can be great because everybody can serve. ”― Martin Luther King Jr. MLK day is a national holiday meant to be observed by giving back to your community. Join WSU students\, faculty\, staff\, and alumni\, as we come together both in-person at each campus and on Zoom\, to create cards to give to local community partners across the nation—community partners such as local hospitals\, teen shelters\, assisted living homes\, etc. Virtual participants can choose to mail their homemade cards back to us to give to a certain community partner\, or they can identify their own. Participants in-person will be provided with materials and those attending virtually can choose to have materials mailed to them. \nIf you would like supplies mailed to you\, please register by Monday\, January 1st. \nClick here to RSVP
