DESCRIPTION:Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack\, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course\, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns\, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations\, and where to turn for help. \nCost\n\n​WSU Global\, Pullman\, and Vancouver students — FREE (supported by Student Activity Fees)\nWSU Students from any other campus (Everett\, Spokane\, Tri-Cities\, Yakama) — $50\nWSU faculty/staff from any campus location $50\n\nIf your department is paying for the training\, you can submit an IRI through the registration form or email health.promotion@wsu.edu. Seats will not be held until an IRI is received. \nIf you are paying yourself\, select cash or check on the registration form and email health.promotion@wsu.edu to arrange a time to pay for class before the course date.
