Student Ambassadors are current WSU Global Campus students who provide feedback and support in the selection of Global Connections web-based programs. Email a Student Ambassador to share what programs you’d like to see offered, learn about events to connect with your peers, or if you’d just like to say “hi!” If you’re a new student and have any questions about student life as an online degree seeker just send us an email and a student ambassador will reply to you.
I am in my fourth semester at the Global Campus and will be finishing my degree in May 2018! I am a Human Development major that seeks to work with youth on any spectrum. I sought out the student ambassador position to share my opinion with a program that directly affects our campus and connect others to valuable resources the campus has available. If you have not yet come across the ASWSUG Student Government site, please explore it and view the resources available for Global Students.
My name is Toni Hayes, I’m majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology. I plan to graduate in spring 2017. I wanted to be a Student Ambassador because of my passion for working with others as well as WSU Global Campus!
I began my career as a preschool teacher in 2012; after completing my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Bellevue College in 2016, I transferred to Washington State University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development at the Global Campus. I currently live in Arizona with my husband, in my free time I enjoy hiking in the Sonoran Desert and teaching yoga in our local community.
Spending quality time with my family is one of my greatest passions. I am majoring in Social Sciences with minors in Aging and Business Administration. I hope to work in elder advocacy or with special needs children. I am set to graduate in May 2017 and I am excited and sad to finally finish what I have started twenty years ago. I will be the first to earn a Bachelor’s degree in my family.
I am the Global Connections program coordinator; I help plan all of the programs that take place. Lifelong learning and community building are two subjects very close to my heart. Personally, I enjoy exploring art history, agriculture, film and going to National Parks. I would love to hear what you would like to learn about through Global Connections. Drop me a line with your thoughts at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am the video producer and writer for Global Campus. I’m responsible for the conceptualization, development, shooting and creation of a final product for a variety of visual media to be used in Global Connections. I work behind the camera to bring you all of the videos & live stream events. I hail from Eagle, ID and have an award-winning passion for Hershey Cookies’n’crème.
I am the in-house graphic designer who develops the graphic packages for upcoming Global Connections events. I am also an illustrator, photographer, and avid hiker. I find creative inspiration in nature, or on my various cross-country road trips and from graffiti on railroad cars.
I’m the communications coordinator for Global Campus. My job is to keep students informed about all of the fun Global Connections events as well as WSU academic info and deadlines. I have a BA in English from WSU, which I completed in 2011 after a 20 year break. I love gardening (especially sharing tips), scuba diving, and I’m a bowler still hoping for a 300!
