WSU Development Projects in Afghanistan and Pakistan

Barbara Rasco will discuss her work on WSU international development projects in Pakistan and Afghanistan focusing on the impact of these projects on women and the issues they face. Rasco earned both a Ph.D. and J.D. degree; she is an internationally recognized authority on food safety laws and regulations and is an expert on aquatic food products.
One WSU Global Campus student who participates in the chatbox during this livestreamed event will win this year’s common reading book “I am Malala.”
St. Patrick’s Day Feast
Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Chef Jamie Callison will demonstrate how to make a delightful St. Patrick’s Day Feast worthy of celebration. Learn how to make house-cured corned beef, Irish soda bread, savory cabbage slaw and perfect potatoes during this livestreamed culinary event.
One Global Campus student who participates in the chatbox during the event will win Callison’s cookbook “The Crimson Spoon.”
Crimson & Gray Virtual 5K
March 11–19, 2017
It’s a virtual 5K, but requires some real exercise: ASWSU Global and Global Connections is holding its annual Crimson and Gray Virtual 5K run from March 11-19. You can go at your own pace and on your own route throughout the week. After you complete the 5K, send a photo of yourself decked out in Coug gear and sporting your race bib to firstname.lastname@example.org. The first 17 students who complete the 5K in 2017 will earn a free medal.
